The Government of India launched RKVY in the year 2007, whereby funds are released to the states as grants to incentivize them to increase their expenditure on agriculture and Allied sectors. Under this scheme the Department is involved in the mobilization of farmers by forming Commodity Interest Groups (CIG), skill enhancement training, distribution of machineries to prevent perishable commodities and food products, providing credit linkages etc.

  1. Training on Post Harvest Skilling:

During the period under report the Department identified 27 cluster villages from 16 districts and conducted training on Post-harvest skilling, where around 3000 farmers were trained about the modern agricultural practices, climate change, organic cultivation and the dangers of irresponsible use of pesticides and insecticides etc.

  1. Processing & Marketing of Coop Products:

Khang Connect is a platform that unites farmers from different regions, fostering collaboration and resource-sharing to strengthen rural communities. By connecting agricultural producers especially cooperative farmers through shared goals and mutual support, Khang Connect works to enhance livelihoods, improve farming practices, and promote sustainable rural development. Our mission is to create a network where farmers can collectively thrive, preserving traditions while advancing towards a more prosperous future for rural life.

In the 1st Phase Khang Connect is collaborating with 7 (seven) cooperative societies from 7 (seven) districts; by processing their produces and Value Addition, with a target to market their products outside the state.
