THE NAGALAND APEX WEAVERS AND ARTISANS FEDERATION LTD. (WEAFED), DIMAPUR
Nagaland Apex Weavers and Artisans Federation Ltd. (WEAFED) Dimapur is an organization under the Department of Cooperation bearing Registration No. NL/01070 dated 16-07-1990. The target of this federation is to promote the Handloom and handicraft which have a huge potential in the state. In order to fully tap this potential, WEAFED has been availing financial assistance from the Development Commissioner, Ministry of Textile, Government of India for organizing exhibition cum sale coinciding with the various festivals of Nagaland.
The main objective of this organization is procurement of raw materials required by the members of the affiliated handloom and handicraft cooperative societies and to purchase the finished products of the affiliated societies and sell off at the remunerative price.
To facilitate umbrella support to the existing and new ventures, the federation has applied for more financial assistance from the Development Commissioner, Ministry of Textile, Government of India through the Directorate of Industries & Commerce for organizing more state level and district level exhibitions cum sales.
